Mumbai, 07 Mar 2024 (Commoditiescontrol): Chili prices across major Indian markets declined today, with key varieties experiencing drops of Rs 300-1,000 per quintal in Guntur and Warangal. Khammam market prices bucked the trend, seeing a slight increase. Overall, both domestic and export demand remain sluggish.

Analysts anticipate that inquiries related to Ramadan could offer some price stability in the near future. However, a combination of large carryover stocks and higher-than-anticipated supply is expected to cap any significant price increases.

Despite a reduction in arrivals compared to previous trading sessions, prices remain depressed. Guntur markets reported arrivals of 90,000 bags, Khammam reported 40,000 bags (down 5,000 bags
