Ahmedabad, May 3 (CommoditiesControl): The cumin market in the state continues to show bullish trend, with prices witnessing yet another increase of Rs 100 per 20 kg today. Traders attribute this surge to a combination of factors, including reduced arrivals of cumin and a spike in export demand. Additionally, news of crop damage in China due to heavy rains has provided further support to the market.

In Unja Mandi, around 20,000-22,000 sacks of cumin arrived today. Rough cumin prices quoted at Rs 4,100-4,400 per 20 kg, while the best quality commanded prices of Rs 4,800-5,000 per 20 kg. Bombay Bold variety was priced at Rs 5,000-5,800 per 20 kg. Overall, around 45,000 bags of cumin arrived in the state today.

At Gondal Mandi, prices ranged from Rs 4,741 to Rs 5,101 per 20 kg against the arrival of 1,428 bags. In Rajkot Mandi, where around 1,700 bags arrived, prices were reported at Rs 4,100-4,925 per 20 kg.
