New Delhi, May 25 (Commodities Control): Cotton prices remained unchanged in the markets of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on Saturday due to limited demand from spinning mills, despite an increase in the daily arrival of Kapas.
Traders report that weak domestic yarn demand and limited export margins for cotton are contributing factors to the stagnant prices. Exporters are facing narrow margins, preventing any significant rise in cotton prices. Additionally, ginning mills in both states are experiencing reduced sales due to holding stocks of high-priced Kapas, further stabilizing prices.
The combined arrival of cotton in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana reached 4,000 bales today. Andhra Pradesh alone saw an arrival of 3,500 bales, while Telangana reported 500 bales. This marks an increase from the previous trading day's total of 2,500 bales in both states.
