New Delhi, April 17 (Commodities Control): Cotton prices remained stagnant for the second consecutive day in Lower Rajasthan on Wednesday due to limited procurement from spinning mills, while daily arrivals of Kapas improved in the mandis of the state.
According to traders, due to limited purchases from the state's spinning mills, cotton prices remained stable for the second day, although its prices have weakened in the world market. According to experts, due to weak prices abroad, export of cotton from the domestic market is not looking profitable, and the local demand for yarn is also weaker than normal. In such a situation, there is no expectation of a big rise in the prices of cotton in the spot market. Along with Kapas, cottonseed prices became stable in the state.
The arrival of Kapas in the mandis of Lower Rajasthan today was 800 bales, one bale - 170 kg, whereas the arrival on the previous trading day was 700 bales.
