Indore, May 21 (Commodities Control): The mandis of Madhya Pradesh recorded a decrease in the arrival of Kapas by 200 to 400 bales on Tuesday. Despite the reduced arrivals, Kapas prices fell by Rs 300 to Rs 100 due to lack of price support. However, the prices of cotton seed and cotton candy remained stable.
On the second trading day of the week, the arrival of Kapas in the state's mandis decreased by 200 to 400 bales compared to Monday, with the current arrivals ranging between 800 to 1,000 bales (one bale = 170 kg).
Even with the decreased arrivals, the average prices of Kapas saw a decline. The average price of Kapas dropped by Rs 300, bringing it to Rs 6,000 per quintal. At the upper level, Kapas prices were noted at Rs 7,300 per quintal after a Rs 100 reduction. Cotton seed prices remained stable, averaging between Rs 2,750 to Rs 2,950 per quintal.
Cotton candy prices also remained stable. The price for 29 mm 75 RD cotton in the state stayed at its previous level of Rs 56,500 to Rs 57,000 per candy (1 candy = 356 kg). The price for 28.5 mm cotton held steady at Rs 55,900 to Rs 56,300 per candy.

- Khetiya: Arrival - 87 quintals; Price - Rs 6,595 to Rs 7,590 per quintal.
- Kukshi: Arrival - 11 quintals; Price - Rs 6,300 to Rs 6,475 per quintal.
- Dhamnod: Arrival - 8 quintals; Price - Rs 6,950 to Rs 7,000 per quintal.
- Khargone: Arrival - 8 quintals; Price - Rs 6,975 to Rs 7,200 per quintal.
- Sendhwa: Arrival - 6 quintals; Price - Rs 5,999 to Rs 6,025 per quintal.
- Anjad: Arrival - 4 quintals; Price - Rs 6,800 to Rs 7,120 per quintal.
- Khandwa: Arrival - 2 quintals; Price - Rs 6,801 per quintal.
- Barwah: Arrival - 2 quintals; Price - Rs 6,150 to Rs 6,500 per quintal.
