Mumbai, 24 Apr 2024 (Commoditiescontrol):Moong prices in Madhya Pradesh's major markets have begun to fall in response to the initial wave of summer crop arrivals. Moong prices decreaseed ranging from Rs 100-200 per quintal based on the quality of the crop.

Market sources indicate that arrivals are likely to continue increasing in Madhy pradesh in coming days, further pressuring prices downward. In Rajasthan, Kisangarh moong prices declined reportedly due to rain-damaged crops influencing the quality of arriving produce.

Analysts suggest that the downward price trend will likely continue in the short term. Crop conditions for summer moong are reported as favorable, with peak arrivals anticipated within 15-20 days. This volume increase is expected to exert significant pressure on prices.
