Mumbai, 18 Apr 2024 (Commoditiescontrol):Moong prices in Rajasthan's major markets showed mixed trends, with prices rising in Merta and falling in Kisangarh. Meanwhile, in Madhya Pradesh, small quantities of early-sown summer moong have started arriving in markets.
Farmers in Madhya Pradesh anticipate major arrivals of summer moong in the first week of May. The delay is attributed to a 7-8 day setback in sowing activities, caused by later-than-usual wheat and green pea harvests.
Currently, moong demand and supply appear balanced. However, the fresh summer crop arrivals from Madhya Pradesh are expected to be a significant factor influencing prices in the coming days.
