Mumbai,01 Apr 2024 (Commoditiescontrol):Kabuli Chana (Kabuli chickpea) prices in Indore and major mandis in surrounding areas have remained stable in the wake of significantly lower arrivals. Reports suggest that arrivals at the Indore mandi reached only 2,500 bags, a noticeable decrease from the previous week's average daily arrivals of 5,000-6,000 bags. Total arrivals across Madhya Pradesh's Kabuli growing belts are estimated at 15,000 to 18,000 bags.
Market analysts attribute the reduced arrivals and subsequent price stability to the first day of the new fiscal year, which saw decreased trading activity. However, arrivals are expected to increase as trading resumes its normal pace which may put price under pressure again.
