Mumbai, May 16 (Commodities Control) - The Indian soybean market is witnessing a significant surge in arrivals, buoyed by stable plant rates across the country.
Total soybean arrivals have soared to 265,000 bags, with Madhya Pradesh, the leading soybean producer, contributing 115,000 bags. Maharashtra reported a substantial arrival of 125,000 bags, while Rajasthan contributed 13,000 bags. Other states collectively accounted for an additional 12,000 bags in cumulative arrivals.
Price dynamics varied across different mandis. In Madhya Pradesh, soybean prices ranged from Rs 4,500 to Rs 4,700 per quintal. Maharashtra observed price fluctuations between Rs 4,425 and Rs 4,675 per quintal, while Rajasthan reported prices ranging from Rs 4,550 to Rs 4,650 per quintal.
Meanwhile, soybean plant prices remained stable. In Madhya Pradesh, prices ranged from Rs 4,725 to Rs 4,850 per quintal. Maharashtra witnessed variability, with plant prices fluctuating between Rs 4,700 and Rs 4,800 per quintal. In Rajasthan, plant prices were recorded in the range of Rs 4,725 to Rs 4,775 per quintal.
The combination of increased arrivals and stable plant rates underscores the current resilience of the Indian soybean market.
