Cotton Arrivals Decline to 28,650 Bales in Major Producing States

New Delhi, May 1 (Commodities Control): The arrival of cotton in the markets of major producing states of the country on Wednesday totaled 28,650 bales, marking a decline from the previous trading day's arrivals of 36,650 bales.

Breaking down the arrivals by state, 1,550 bales were recorded in Punjab and Haryana along with Upper and Lower Rajasthan. Gujarat witnessed the arrival of 8,000 bales, while Maharashtra saw 15,000 bales reaching its markets.

In Madhya Pradesh, 2,000 bales of cotton arrived, while there were no arrivals reported in Andhra Pradesh-Telangana. Additionally, 100 bales arrived in Tamil Nadu, 2,000 bales in Karnataka mandis, and no arrivals were recorded in Odisha.
