Major Producing States Receive 27,800 Cotton Bales

New Delhi, May 18 (Commodities Control): The arrival of cotton in the markets of major producing states of the country on Saturday was 27,800 bales, whereas the arrival on the previous trading day was 30,500 bales.

Of the total arrivals, Punjab and Haryana along with Upper and Lower Rajasthan accounted for 1,300 bales. Arrivals of 7,000 bales were recorded in Gujarat, 15,000 bales in Maharashtra, 1,000 bales in Madhya Pradesh and 2,500 bales in Andhra Pradesh-Telangana.

Apart from this, 0 bales arrived in Tamil Nadu, 1,000 bales in Karnataka mandis and 0 bales in Odisha.
