Indore, May 15 (Commodities Control): The Kapas arrivals in Madhya Pradesh mandis remained consistent on Wednesday, matching the figures from Tuesday. The stability in arrivals has corresponded to stable Kapas prices, maintaining an average range of Rs 6300 to Rs 7400 per quintal.

However, there has been a notable increase of Rs 50 in the upper level of cottonseed prices, with the average price ranging from Rs 2750 to Rs 3000 per quintal in the state today.

Today in Madhya Pradesh, the price of 29 mm 75 RD cotton witnessed a significant decline by Rs 400, ranging from Rs 56600 to Rs 57100 per candy, each candy weighing 356 kg. Similarly, the price of 28.5 mm cotton also saw a decline of Rs 400, trading at Rs 56000-56400 per candy. Notably, on Tuesday, cotton candy prices had weakened by Rs 100, resulting in an overall decline of Rs 500 during the two trading sessions.

Experts attribute this decline to reduced global demand for yarn, which subsequently weakened the demand for milling. Additionally, the anticipation of a better cotton crop in Australia has bolstered bearish sentiment. Despite this, millers highlight that the demand for Indian cotton in major importing countries like Bangladesh and Vietnam remains robust, lowering the extent of the decline.

Arrival Details in Madhya Pradesh Markets till Wednesday Afternoon:
- Khetiya: Arrival: 30 quintals, priced at Rs 6005 to 7510 per quintal.
- Kukshi: Arrival: 28 quintals, priced at Rs 6950 to 7035 per quintal.
- Sendhwa: Arrival 28 quintals, priced at Rs 6000 to 6725 per quintal.
- Bhikangaon: Arrival 23 quintals, priced at Rs 3801 to 7000 per quintal.
