New Delhi, May 23 (Commoditiescontrol): Coriander spot prices saw notable movements across various Indian markets today, driven by differing local conditions and demand-supply trends.
- Guna & Kumbhraj: These markets were closed today due to Poornima, resulting in no trading activity.
- Kota: Prices for Eagle coriander varieties increased by Rs 100 per quintal due to increased demand.
- Ramganj: Prices surged by Rs 200 per quintal, attributed to the low availability of coriander. Current arrivals are insufficient to meet the strong demand.
- Baran: Prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal. The NCDEX (National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange) was also active today, indicating a bullish trend. However, arrivals were reported to be low.
Dhaniya contract for JUN delivery settled at Rs 7668/quintal showing an fall of Rs -92 over previous close of Rs 7760/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 7664-7830 for the day. Open interest decreased by -960 MT to 25760 MT, while trading volume decreased by -740 to 4660 MT.
Dhaniya contract for JUL delivery settled at Rs 7770/quintal showing an fall of Rs -84 over previous close of Rs 7854/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 7762-7914 for the day. Open interest increased by 965 MT to 3965 MT, while trading volume decreased by -40 to 2005 MT.
Currently The spread between JUN and JUL contract is -102 Rs/quintal.
