Jaipur, 6 April (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard seed prices were flat in the benchmark market of Jaipur on Saturday while oil prices were quoted firm but cake prices dropped. Arrivals increased compared to last session. As per the traders, no aggressive buying is observed from the stockiest and the processors as the production of mustard seed is high this year. Also, demand for mustard oil is also expected to remain low in the summer season. Demand for cake is also down.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned were flat Rs 5,450-5475 per quintal kachchi (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices gained Re 1 to Rs 1024-1025 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also gained Re 1 to 1034-1035 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices dropped Rs 5 to Rs 2515-2520 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 9.25 lakh bags across the country. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 5.25 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 95000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, one lakh bags in Uttar Pradesh, 75000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 35,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 95000 bags of mustard seed.
