Mustard seed prices steady, oil& cake quoted higher

Jaipur, 4 May (Commoditiescontrol) : Mustard seed prices were steady in the benchmark market of Jaipur while oil and cake prices were quoted a tad up on Saturday amid normally activities in the weekend.

Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned were steady at Rs 5350-5375 per quintal (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.

Mustard oil expeller prices were quoted Re 1 higher Rs 989-990 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also gained Re 1 to 999-1000 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices rose Rs 20 to Rs 2565-2570 per quintal in Jaipur.

Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 5.25 lakh bags across the country, down 0.25 lakh bags from the last session. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 3 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 50,000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, 60,000 bags in Uttar Pradesh, 25,000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 25,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 65,000 bags of mustard seed.
