MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) – Spot red chilli prices quoted strong by Rs 1-2 per kg at the major Guntur and Warangal markets on Friday amid better festive demand. While, prices remained steady at Khammam.

Key red chilli markets will remain closed for Makar Sankranti and Pongal from Jan 12 to Jan 16. They are expected to reopen on January 17.

As per market source, festive demand is now emerging and giving support to the prices. Buying has also increased due to purchasing in advance ahead of holidays.
