MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) - During the week, the major markets of Guntur, Warangal, Khammam and Byadgi received around 12,53,000 bags. In which, Guntur market account for 465,000 bags, followed by Byadgi 403,000 bags.
However increase in production is witnessed, prevailing domestic demand for chilli is in good phase at present. In coming days, the time when Guntur market receives over 100,000 bags of arrival, the price may witness a slight correction from the current levels.
In Guntur, the price of all the varieties remained unchanged. 341 chilli variety price witnessed a slight increase by INR 100 per quintal. Export demand for 334 variety and Teja is expected to peak in April 2019 as the information from trade sources.
