MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) - During first week of March 2019, Guntur market received around 4,50,000 bags. The market received an average of 80,000-85,000 bags per day. In coming week, the arrival is expected to increase gradually on account of peak season. Market may receive 120,000 – 150,000 bags per day.
The current season production witnessed 25% increase compared to previous season given sharp increase in sowing area in AP and Telangana. Currently, Teja variety price is ranging between INR 70 and 91 per kg levels as compared to INR 70-88 per kg levels a couple of week of ago.
The increase in price during arrival season is due to prevailing good upcountry demand along export demand. In coming week, price of Teja variety is expected to remain steady at current levels.
