New crop arrivals expected to start from April in Sudan and approximately 35,000-40,000 MT will be import in May-June. Balance old stock of Tur totalled 40,000-50,000 Mt In Tanzania expected. Meanwhile, Tur sowing has began in Tanzania. Sowing likely to be good in international market due to better Tur prices. Imports will arrive from overseas at regular intervals as government already issued total 6 lakh tonnes quota.
Hopes of big rally in Tur has been halt after government issued quota. Tur prices likely to be trade range bound from current level. However, fundamentals of Tur are strong due to lower yields, lesser old procured stock with government. Weak or delay monsoon in June forecast will only boost rally in Tur.
Meanwhile, rain in Maharashtra from couple of days likely to damage Mango may support Tur prices.
