MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) - Production of Guarseed in Rajasthan is estimated to rise 19.33% on year to 16.76 lakh tonnes in kharif season due to sharp fall in acreage and yield, according to the first advance estimate figures shared by a state farm department.
Guarseed production is estimated higher despite of lower acreage as higher yield is expected to offset acreage losses.
Kharif Barely production is seen down at 39.24 lakh tonnes, compared with 41.54 lakh tonnes last year. Karnataka is one of India's major Guarseed and Barely producing states.
