MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) – According to latest reports in November 2017, Canadian farmers reported decline in production of pulses such as matar and masoor in 2017 compared to previous year. However, chana and dry beans production remained firm.
Canadian farmers reported production of 4.11 million tonnes of matar in 2017, down by 14.97% from 4.84 million tonnes in the previous year.
On the similar lines, estimates show fall of 21.24% in production of masoor, which stood at 2.56 million tonnes compared with 3.25 million tonnes last year.
However, production of chana and dry beans improved by 14.67% and 40.61%, stood at 0.086 million tonnes and 0.32 million tonnes respectively in 2017.
