Mixed Tone Witnesses In Spot Turmeric

MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) - A mixed tone was witnessed in spot turmeric at the major markets across the country on Tuesday amid scattered buying and selling activity with positive cues on futures.

Turmeric traded strong in Erode and Sangli market, but declined in Nanded and Basmatnagar due to slow demand.

Though turmeric market was mixed in the country, but buyers are expecting some revival in prices due to dry weather, said a trader from Erode.

The most active July delivery was last traded Rs 0.23%, or Rs 14 at Rs 5,986/100kg on the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Ltd (NCDEX). The contract so far moved in the range of Rs 5,910 to Rs 6,080.
