MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) - Nafed procured total 5,186.98 quintals of moong under minimum support price of Rs 4,800 (+425 bonus) as on September 23, according to Nafed.
These procurements were made from 6 states with highest from Karnataka at 1,927.74 quintals, then Telangana 1,648.08 quintals and 1,115.220 quintals from Maharashtra. Total 505 farmers were benefited.
Nafed said "No major procurements were made by Nafed in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana due to heavy rain, while least quantity of 19.50 tonnes were purchased from Madhya Pradesh due to moisture above prescribed 12% limit.
