MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) - Important Kharif pulses are Redgram (Tur), Green Gram (Mung and Black gram (Urad). Red gram alone accounts for about 50% of total Kharif pulses output followed by Black gram and Green gram. About 70% of Urad and Mung are grown in Kharif, while Tur is exclusively in Kharif only.

Urad (Black gram)
Urad is primarily a kharif season crop with about 70-75% of it is produced in kharif and the rest is cultivated in rabi season.
