The bulk of new sales were to key markets, including Vietnam (29,100 RB), Pakistan (25,400 RB), Peru (14,000 RB), Guatemala (11,300 RB), and China (8,500 RB). However, these gains were partially offset by reductions from Malaysia (17,600 RB) and Japan (100 RB). For the 2025/2026 marketing year, net sales of 39,600 RB were recorded, all destined for Malaysia.
Upland cotton exports saw a strong performance, with 107,100 RB shipped during the week, up 35% from the previous week, though still 13% below the prior 4-week average. The top destinations were Pakistan (26,800 RB), Mexico (15,000 RB), Vietnam (11,300 RB), China (9,700 RB), and Honduras (8,200 RB).
In the Pima cotton segment, net sales for 2024/2025 totaled 9,500 RB, marking a 13% decline from the previous week and a 17% decrease from the 4-week average. India led purchases with 6,200 RB, followed by Peru (1,000 RB), Djibouti (900 RB), Turkey (500 RB), and Thailand (400 RB). Exports of Pima cotton for the week were 6,500 RB, down 8% from the previous week but 4% higher than the prior 4-week average. India was the primary destination, receiving 4,500 RB, followed by Bangladesh (800 RB), Pakistan (400 RB), Egypt (400 RB), and Japan (100 RB).
