Burma Lemon Tur:
Tur Lemon variety of Burma-origin extended fall by Rs 200 to Rs 5,500/100Kg, in Mumbai.
Similarly, domestic variety Tur widened losses by Rs 500 to Rs 5,700-5,800/100Kg at benchmark market Akola due to ongoing new domestic arrivals, thin buying from millers, as demand and sale counters in processed Tur reported slack activity.
Quality of new Tur arrived was reported to be average with moisture-content around 13-18 percent.
Overseas supply from various origins are available at cheaper rates and government agencies are liquidating old procured Tur stock at lower rates in Maharashtra. This dampened the sentiments even more.
Moreover, millers from Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh actively purchased new Tur on immediate requirement for crushing.
Meanwhile, stockiest are sidelined in anticipation that prices may decline further on arrivals pressure in near future.
As per market view, meanwhile, farmers were bringing average quality and moisture-laden stock in the market. However they refrained from liquidating good quality stock at lower rates as MSP of Tur is Rs 6,000/100Kg.
