MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol)- Jeera (cumin seeds) prices are likely to remain firm as export demand is likely to pick to up due to lesser than anticipated crop in Syria and Turkey.
Jeera exports increased by 4.6 percent in Feb-2019 to 10186 tons as against 9736 tons exported during Feb-2018. So far in the current FY (Apr-18-Feb-19) Jeera exports from India exceeds 150000 tons.

Last week range 17490 and 18040, settled around 17855
Possibility of prices correcting further not ruled out in the coming week
Support -17500 and below to drop till 17200, which should considered as good levels to buy
In case settles well above the recent high of 18040 for two consecutive days on closing basis then expect jeera to spurt up to 18400-18700 levels.
