India 2017-18 Spices Production Down 2.3% Y/Y At 8.4 Mln Tonnes - Spices Board

MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) - Spices production in India dropped 2.3% year-on-year to 8.4 million tonnes in 2017-18, according to data from Spices Board India.

The country had produced 8.6 million tonnes of spices in the previous year.


Chilli was the largest produced spice with a crop size of 2.3 million tonnes. However, output of the spice was down nearly 4% on year.
