NEW DELHI (Commodities control) 1509 paddy arrival increased to around 70000-80000 bags in various mandis of Haryana. The daily arrival may cross one lakh bags in one week. Buying activities also increased from millers but the prices could not get support because there was high moisture in new paddy. 1121 paddy price declined Rs. 50 at Rs. 2650-2700 per quintal in Narela mandi of Delhi due to quality issue. Paddy arrival is yet to pick up in Punjab’s mandis.

A trader from Taraori mandi Mr. Sandip Gupta told that Mandis of Karnal district including Taraori mandi, paddy arrival estimated to 30000-35000 bags today. Total arrival in all the mandis of Haryana was estimated to 70000-80000 bags. The arrival will increased one lakh bags within bags. Currently, Haryana mandis are receiving 1509 paddy. Later, paddy of PR 26 variety will arrive the markets. Both early varieties of paddy get developed in 3 months. Other varieties of paddy take more time up to 4 months to get developed. 1509 paddy began from western Uttar Pradesh. The arrival of this paddy is very nominal in Punjab. Only Amritsar mandi is receiving mere 500-700 bags. Arrival will be increased in Punjab after 10-15 days.

Late rain Punjab and Haryana also delayed the crop. Buyers are reluctant to have big deal due to high moisture. Currently, the moisture level is as high 20 percent. The moisture is major factor for bearish trend prices.
