Paddy prices remain steady in Delhi and Haryana due to nominal trade and arrival

NEW Delhi (Commodities control) Paddy prices remained steady in various mandis of Delhi and Haryana. Paddy of 1509 and 1121 varieties were traded at previous levels. As per traders, there was little demand as well as nominal supplies in Narela mandi of Delhi. There was no significant supplies of last year’s crop. Little better arrival is being seen for 1509 paddy of new season. Taraori mandi of Karnal district of Haryana is also getting very nominal quantity of new 1509 paddy. Market sources said that the prices of paddy will remain steady until new crop hits the markets. Arrival will not increase until mid-September. There was no trade in mandis Punjab.
