New Moong Trades Flat In Gadag/Bagalkot

Mumbai (Commodities control) – New Moong traded flat as per quality at Gadag and Bagalkot markets of Karnataka on Wednesday despite higher arrivals.

At Gadag, new Chamki variety Moong traded at Rs 5,000-7,600/100Kg as per quality with arrivals of 1000 bags.

Quality of new moong is reported to have moisture content of around 18-20%. While, out of total arrivals, 80% of produce are dagi and discoloured.

Local millers were active in purchasing.

Similarly, the pulse traded at Rs 6,000-7,600/100Kg as per quality with arrivals of 700 bags at Bagalkot market of Karnataka. Quality of new moong is reported to be dagi and discoloured with moisture content of around 15-25%. Only 200 bags of produce was of good quality.

Moong for September delivery on National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), was trading a tad up or by Rs 5 at Rs 6,220/100kg. Earlier, in the day, the contract hovered in the range of 6,220 and 6,246.
