Mumbai (Commodities Control) - Cotton acreage has slipped 9% in Gujarat amid weak rains and lower markets rates received by farmers for their produce.

The State department data also reveals that cotton acreage is pressurized due to higher sowing in urad, moong, Tur, paddy, guar, and oilseeds.

Paddy acreage has upped 28% to touch 6,23,468 Ha as on 4th august. Meanwhile Bajra acreage is at record levels touching 1,80,377 Ha.
