New Delhi, June 30 (Commoditiescontrol) Monsoon is now in progress in north India and some other parts of the country amid favourable conditions and entire Delhi is likely to receive monsoon rains in next 24 hours.
IMD in its latest forecast on Wednesday said, “Conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into remaining parts of Arabian sea and Gujarat, some parts of Rajasthan, remaining parts of MP, entire UP, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, some parts of J&K, some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and entire Delhi during next 24 hours.”
The countrywide rainfall remained 10% deficient from June 1-29 while central India received 33% deficient rains. South peninsula received 14% deficient rains while northwest India witnessed 20% deficient rainfall till June 29 this monsoon season. rainfall activities remained 21% above normal in north and northeast parts of India so far in June.
Several parts of India including Bihar, UP, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, WB, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, MP, and others received rains in past 24 hours.
