MUMBAI, 09 Nov (Commoditiescontrol): Peanut arrivals have surged in key Saurashtra markets, including Gondal, Rajkot, and Jasdan. Due to the high volume, new arrivals have been temporarily halted in these areas, with current arrivals estimated at 30,000-35,000 bags. In contrast, new peanut arrivals continue in North Gujarat, where buyers from the South are actively purchasing peanuts, especially from regions like Idar.
In Rajkot Mandi, no new arrivals were recorded today; however, 35,000 pending bags (1 bag = 35 kg) were available for trade. Prices remained stable, with average-quality peanuts priced between ₹970-₹1,195 per 20 kg, and top-quality peanuts ranging from ₹900-₹1,255 per 20 kg.
In the Deesa Mandi in North Gujarat, approximately 74,594 bags arrived, with prices ranging from ₹950-₹1,501 per 20 kg. Palanpur Mandi saw arrivals of around 30,000 bags, with prices between ₹1,000-₹1,377 per 20 kg. Pathawada Mandi received over 38,080 bags, with prices at ₹1,000-₹1,350 per 20 kg. Additional arrivals included 20,000 bags in Himmatnagar, 5,000 bags in Idar, and around 22,000 bags in Gundari, with stable prices observed across these markets.
