New Delhi, November 9 (Commodities Control): Cotton prices displayed a mixed trend for the third day in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on Saturday. Limited buying by spinning mills kept prices stable in Telangana, while cotton prices weakened in Andhra Pradesh. Daily arrivals of Kapas also decreased in both states.
According to traders, mills are purchasing cotton strictly based on current needs, as local and export yarn demand has not picked up as anticipated. Despite limited buying, mills are expected to increase purchases in the future due to low cotton stock levels, which may support prices in the near term. Cottonseed prices have also stabilized across both states.
Today, combined arrivals in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were 15,000 bales, with Andhra Pradesh receiving 7,000 bales and Telangana 8,000 bales. This is a significant drop from the 32,000 bales received on the previous trading day.
