Mumbai, Oct 05 (Commodities Control) – The Indian soybean market is witnessing a noticeable drop in arrivals, largely due to an increase in plant prices.
Nationwide soybean arrivals have been reported at 350,000 bags, with Madhya Pradesh, India’s top soybean-producing state, accounting for 150,000 bags. Maharashtra saw a significant inflow of 140,000 bags, while Rajasthan contributed 30,000 bags. Other states collectively added another 30,000 bags to the total.
Soybean prices have varied across regions. In Madhya Pradesh, prices ranged between Rs 3,900 and Rs 4,600 per quintal, while Maharashtra saw prices from Rs 3,800 to Rs 4,550 per quintal. Rajasthan reported soybean prices between Rs 4,000 and Rs 4,500 per quintal.
Meanwhile, plant prices for soybeans have surged. Madhya Pradesh saw rates between Rs 4,650 and Rs 4,775 per quintal, Maharashtra ranged from Rs 4,600 to Rs 4,675, and Rajasthan recorded prices from Rs 4,650 to Rs 4,700 per quintal.
This fluctuation in prices and reduced arrivals could influence market trends and future soybean production.
