Ahmedabad, August 10 (Commodities Control): The cumin market in Gujarat remained stable today, primarily due to weak export demand. The global market is seeing an influx of Chinese cumin, which has dampened the demand for Indian cumin. Additionally, unrest in Bangladesh has led to a decline in exports from India, contributing to the sluggish market trend. Local demand is also low, providing little support to prices.

In Unjha Mandi, 4,000-5,000 bags of cumin arrived today. The price for rough cumin was Rs 4,400-4,600 per 20 kg, the best quality cumin was priced at Rs 4,850-4,900 per 20 kg, and Bombay bold cumin was Rs 4,900-5,000 per 20 kg. A total of approximately 8,000 bags arrived across Gujarat.

In Gondal Mandi, 528 bags were traded at Rs 4,711-4,901 per 20 kg, while Rajkot Mandi received around 700 bags, with prices ranging from Rs 4,300-4,911 per 20 kg.
