MUMBAI, 16 July (Commoditiescontrol): Today in Gujarat, the peanut market showed resilience with prices maintaining stability across various regional markets. According to reports from traders and market observers, there were no significant fluctuations in peanut prices despite varied arrivals and demand conditions.
In the Saurashtra region, traders noted that arrivals from the Mainpuri line were below expectations, contributing to stable prices. The peanut oil market also exhibited stability without significant ups or downs.
Market experts suggested that the purchase of good quality peanuts at Rs 1550 per 10 kg in loose form could potentially help stabilize prices further, particularly for superior quality produce.
In Gondal market today, there were 5,407 bags of peanuts available, with transactions recorded for 5,000 bags. Prices for average quality peanuts ranged from Rs 1,175 to Rs 1,276 per 20 kg, while prices for best quality peanuts ranged from Rs 1,181 to Rs 1,341 per 20 kg. New peanuts were traded around 482 bags at prices ranging from Rs 1,156 to Rs 1,341 per 20 kg. Loose peanut oil prices stood at Rs 1,525 per 10 kg.
In Rajkot market, approximately 4,000 bags of peanuts arrived today. Prices for average quality peanuts ranged from Rs 1,110 to Rs 1,260 per 20 kg, while prices for best quality peanuts ranged from Rs 1,135 to Rs 1,327 per 20 kg. Across Saurashtra, arrivals totaled around 12,000-15,000 bags of peanuts.
In the Deesa market of North Gujarat, arrivals were reported at 6,763 bags, with prices averaging between Rs 900 and Rs 1680 per 20 kg. Palanpur market saw arrivals of 11,584 bags, with transactions conducted at prices ranging from Rs 911 to Rs 1,575 per 20 kg. In Patanwada, approximately 13,500 bags of peanuts were available, priced between Rs 1,050 and Rs 1,556 per 20 kg.
Of late, the trend has remained stable yet cautiously active. Peanut market of Gujarat, is driven by localized supply conditions and moderate demand levels.
