Mumbai, 8 Aug (Commoditiescontrol): Prices of Burma Urad FAQ-SQ varieties eased at Chennai and Delhi market amid thin mills trade that was triggered by slack offtake of Urad dal, while favorable weather conditions for Kharif Urad crop boosted prospect of ample availability.

Moreover, supply from Burma is likely to increase due to the devaluation of the Burmese currency which makes the Burma export cheaper in Us dollar terms.

Maharashtra has been experiencing rains since Saturday. Incessant rains continued through Sunday and the region is likely to witness more rains in coming days. The weather Bureau has issued orange alert in several parts of Maharashtra; such as Vidarbha including Nagpur, Bhandara and Vardha for today and tomorrow. Also, even heavier rains have been predicted for Wednesday (August 10), due to which an orange alert has been issued in Nagpur, Vardha and Chandrapur.
