Indore (Commoditiescontrol) –: Despite weak arrival, decline in buying support at higher rate arrested uptrend in masoor with its prices in Indore mandir today declining by Rs 200 at Rs 5400 a quintal. In Mandsaur mandi masoor today ruled at Rs 4201-Rs 5500, Dhar - Rs 3610-Rs 5375, Barnagar - Rs 4850Rs 5251, Betul -Rs 4701, while at Ashta mandi, masoor was quoted at Rs 4500-Rs 5258 a quintal respectively.
According to Sanjay Agrawal, a wholesale pulse trader, with traders busy in settling their accounts ahead of March closure, buying in pulse seeds has declined despite depleting arrivals.
Weak buying from Millers amidst declining arrival also dragged chana in Indore today by Rs 50 with chana (kanta) today declining to Rs 5,000 a quintal, while chana (vishal) ruled at Rs 4750-Rs 5000 a quintal. At Dhamnod mandi chana (mausami) was quoted at Rs 4405-Rs 5000 a quintal, Barwah - Rs 4695-Rs 4860, Mandsaur - Rs 4302-Rs 5000, Khargone - Rs 4601-Rs 4970, Dhar - Rs 4112-Rs 5325, Ashta -Rs 4600-Rs 4988, while chana (mausmi) ruled at Rs 4571-Rs 5551, Khategaon - Rs 4700-Rs 5070, while at Khujner mandi, chana ruled at Rs 4600-Rs 4925 a quintal respectively.
Tur was also quoted lower in Indore on weak demand with tur (Maharashtra) today declining to Rs 6850 a quintal, tur (Karnataka) ruled at Rs 7100-Rs 7200, while tur ( Nimari) was quoted at Rs 6200-Rs 6700 a quintal. At Barwah tur ruled at Rs 5995-Rs 6552, Betul - Rs 5500-Rs 6471, while in Khargone, tur ruled at Rs 5700-Rs 6552 a quintal respectively.
