NEW DELHI (Commodities control) Spot mustard prices eased down today after consecutive rise during last couple of days in producing states including Rajasthan. Heavy arrival and slower demand at higher prices caused for decline in prices. mustard oil has registered sharp down fall of Rs. 32 per 10 kg due to heavy sell from millers. Mustard oil seed arrival increased from 4.50 lakh bags (100 kg each) to 5.15 lakh bags in all over the country.
According to market sources, heavy arrival dampened markets. The arrival increased over five lakh bags per day. Recent price rise in last couple of days also discouraged millers and processors for fresh buying. While, farmers were bringing their crop as they found current prices very attractive. Mustard oil has noted sharp fall in prices due to heavy selling and limited demand. Mustard oil priced declined Rs. 32 per 10 kg. Traders said that many millers came up for selling as current prices were very high. The prices have recorded good gains in last few days.
Mustard seed (42 percent condition) was traded at Rs. 6050-6055 per quintal (GST Extra) in Jaipur. Earlier, it was traded at Rs. 6175-80 per quintal. Mustard oil prices was traded at Rs. 1215-1216 in Jaipur and 1205-1206 per 10 kilogram in adjoining areas. Earlier, it was traded at Rs. 1247-1248 in Jaipur and 1237-1238 per 10 kilogram in adjoining areas. Mustard oil cake was traded at Rs. 2500-2505 per quintal.
