Mumbai (Commodities Control) - Cotton prices have cooled off on Thursday due to lower demand from private yarn millers and MNCs at Andhra Pradesh and Telangana mandis, while daily arrivals increased in Telangana and stabilised at Andhra mandis. Spot and domestic futures eased tracking slippage in cotton price on global futures.
On MCX, February cotton futures slipped 1.23% to Rs 20,920 at around 3.10 pm today.
Meanwhile on Thursday, Andhra Pradesh cotton mandis reported arrivals of 5,000 bales, unchanged from the last session and Telangana mandis reported arrivals of 25,000 bales vs 22,000 bales in the last session.
