March futures on NCDEX ended Rs 255 higher and the April futures settled Rs 160 stronger at Rs 13,385 and Rs 13,210 respectively.
Today Unjha mandi reported arrivals of 5,000 bags vs 5,500 bags in the last session. All the jeera varieties were priced Rs 10/20Kgs higher. Rough variety of Jeera was quoted at Rs. 2,105-2,175 per 20 kg. NCDEX Jeera was priced at Rs. 2,225-2,325 per 20 kg. Bombay Bold was quoted at Rs. 2,500-2590 per 20 kg and Best quality was quoted at Rs 2,425-2,475.
In Rajkot, all the jeera varieties are steady. The mandi reported arrivals of 850 bags vs 350 bags in the last session.
Traders are focusing on the ongoing sowing in Gujarat. The weather conditions remain supportive and traders are keeping out of buying large quantities in wholesale markets ahead of new arrivals from next month.
