Mumbai (Commoditiescontrol) – Tur-Urad along with Masoor prices declined at Naya bazaar pulses market of Delhi, on Wednesday, amid slack buying by local mills.

Moreover, demand and sale counters in processed pulses reported thin participation from wholesale-retail counters due to less consumption in dal because of cheaper vegetables price during winter period.

Burma origin Lemon new variety priced unchanged at Rs 6,200/100kg in ready delivery from Chennai.

On other hand, commodity fell by Rs 50 to Rs 5,900 at Chennai spot.

Similarly, Haryana origin new domestic Tur dropped by Rs 50 at Rs 5,400-5,425 following weak cues from other domestic market.

Karnataka origin Nafed procured old Tur ruled flat at Rs 6,175/100Kg.

Meanwhile, Nafed Approved Bid of 4619 MT Tur Kharif 2019 in the range of Rs 5,671-5,706/100Kg in Karnataka on 25th January, 2021.

Burma Urad FAQ-SQ varieties slipped by Rs 75-100 to Rs 7,700/100Kg and Rs 8,650-8,700, respectively due to dull millers' trade at higher rates as processed Urad reported thin offtake, following weak cues from Chennai markets. It is to be noted that the prices fell despite less ready stock.

Similarly, Kota (Rajasthan) origin new Urad along with Madhya Pradesh oold Nafed procured Urad slipped by Rs 50 each to Rs 7,100, respectively.

On other hand, Maharashtra origin new Urad priced unchanged at Rs 8,000.

Canada and Madhya Pradesh origin Masoor dropped each Rs 50-150 to Rs 5,150/100Kg, respectively due to dull mill buying.

Availability of imported stock, rise in sowing area this year and slow offtake in Masoor dal has pressurised sentiments.

Chana for March delivery on National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), was trading 1 percent or Rs 43 higher at Rs 4,511/100kg. Earlier in the day, the contract hovered in the range of Rs 4,461 and 4,518.
