NEW DELHI (Commodities control) New mustard arrival began in the producing states of north India. New arrival increased daily supplies all over the region so bullish trend retreated today. New mustard seed was traded at Rs. 6131 (GST Extra) in Jaupur. Old mustard seed also slipped Rs. 50 to Rs. 6150 per quintal. Mustard oil prices also slipped down on bearish trend. However, mustard oil cake remained steady. Mustard seed arrival increased from 75,000 bags to 90,000 bags in all over the country. Around 25000 bags new mustard seed arrived in mandis.
Today, mustard seed prices slipped as sentiments turned to bearish as new crop arrived in mandis. Mustard seed acreage increased 5.5 percent to 73.89 lakh hectare so crop production was estimated to increase. A trader from Jaipur said that new arrival was a ring for downward trend. Higher arrival will dragged down prices further. Millers and processors did not show much interest for buying as they were cautious for fresh buying. They have already procured comfortable stock for their crushing.
New Mustard seed (42 percent condition) was traded at Rs. 6131 per quintal (GST Extra) in Jaipur. Old mustard seed of same quality came down to Rs. 6150 per quintal (GST Extra) in Jaipur. Earlier, it was traded at Rs. Rs. 6200-6205 per quintal.
Mustard oil prices also decreased to Rs. 1211-1212 in Jaipur and 1201-1202 per 10 kilogram in adjoining areas. Earlier, It was traded at Rs. 1230-1231 in Jaipur and 1221-1222 per 10 kilogram in adjoining areas. Mustard oil cake remained stable today to Rs. 2600-2605 per quintal.
Total arrival was 90,000 quintal including new arrival of 25000 bags in across the country. State arrival of old crop- Rajasthan 30,000, MP 5,000, UP 10,000, HP 5,000, Gujarat 5000 and other states 15,000 bags.
