Mumbai Commodities Control - Spot cotton rates rise across major cotton markets in India tracking price rally on the global front along with improved mill buying and stockists' demand.
North Indian cotton rates moved up by Rs 5-10 per Maund, while prices were steady in Lower Rajasthan.
In Gujarat and Maharashtra, the fibre managed to gain Rs 100 and went as high as Rs 500 for a variety.
Barring Karnataka where cotton prices were stable, A.P-Telangana witnessed price rise of Rs 200-300 across diffrent cotton varieties.
