Cotton Prices Tank Rs 200 Despite Bad Weather Conditions Threatening Output in A.P-Telangana

Mumbai (Commodities Control) - Cotton prices fell Rs 100-200 per Candy despite bad weather conditions in Andhra and Telanagna. Demand from private yarn millers has weakened. The fibre was stable for the four straight sessions in a row in Andhra Pradesh-Telangana mandis until Thursday.

Andhra Pradesh has been witnessing rains off-and-on which can adversely affect cotton output in the state. Telangana has been receiving light rains at a few places.

Telangana witnessed cotton arrivals of 40,000 bales, similar to last session, while Andhra registered arrivals of 4,000 bales vs 3,000 bales in the last session.
