Mumbai Commodities Control - Spot coriander prices bounced back on Thursday as the spice managed to rise Rs 30-50 per Quintal in Ramganj, Kota and Baran mandi of Rajasthan. Demand from local spice millers aided price rise. Nearly half a dozen mills registered purchases on Thursday. Additionally, bad weather conditions and the havoc wrecked by Cyclone ‘Nivar’ in the South Indian states underpinned coriander prices.
Having said so, arrivals have reduced in the mandis--another bullish factor. Traders reveal that some enquiries were witnessed from bigger dealers of Maharashtra and Madhya pradesh. An overseas order from Dubai attracted buyers to Rajasthan mandis today.
Purchases are expected to continue through the first half of December for an order of 500 tons Ramganj mandi of Rajasthan reported arrivals of 2800 bags, Kota mandi-- 1500 bags, Baran mandi-- 950 bags and Jaipur mandi-- 800 bags.
On NCDEX, December and January futures dropped Rs 32 and Rs 8 per Quintal at Rs 6220 and Rs 6276 per Quintal, respectively.
