Mumbai (Commodities Control) - Rajasthan witnessed rains this morning in Hadoti region, affecting coriander arrivals at Baran, Kota ad Ramganj mandi on Thursday. Unfavourable weather reduced the arrivals in key coriander markets of Rajasthan.

Coriander prices upped during morning auctions due to weak supplies. Prices were quoted as high as Rs 70 per Quintal. Although the spice pared all its gains by afternoon and managed to end barely higher by the end of the session.

Meanwhile, due to Navami and Vijayadashami celebrations over the weekend, trade focussed on the deliveries in Ramganj and Kota mandi.

Buyers from Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka were quite active as well. Nearly 5 trucks of coriander were supplied to these states, although they were all the deliveries for the prior orders.

Having said so, today buyers did not seem satisfied with the quality of the spice. Lower and medium range coriander arrived in the mandis in large quantities. Upper range supplies were scarce despite good demand and rates.

Ramganj mandi reported arrivals of 2200 bags, Kota mandi--700 bags, Baran mandi--950 bags, Jaipur mandi --800 bags
