Guar Gum And Seed Fell Sharply In Jodhpur Due To Good Rain, Weak Demand

NEW DELHI, (Commoditiescontrol) Guar gum and powder prices have seen sharp down fall in major producing markets including Jodhpur. Guar seed also slipped on prospects of better sowing area in Rajasthan.



Entire guar complex was seen in bearing mood, however more price fall was visible in guar gum due to lower demand. Guar gum split lost Rs. 200 in Jodhpur. It was traded at Rs. 6530 per quintal. Guar gum powder also fell down by Rs. 200. According to market sources, domestic as well as export demand was not supportive for the guar products. Guar seed fell down by Rs. 75 to Rs. 3825 per quintal. Traders said that sowing activities increased in Barmer, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Sriganganagar and Hunumangarh due to good rains during last few days. More rains are expected in the region. It will improve guar acreage in last lag of sowing activities.
